Three months three challenges aftermath

This year we are partnering with the Alzheimer’s Society to attempt to raise £10,000 for our giving back initiative. This will bring approximately 476 hours of care, allowing the charity to supply carers and telephone support. Overall, helping people live well, with better support.

Alongside this, the giving back incentive branches out across other social values we hold central to our efforts by providing support to local communities. Recent examples of this include: Sponsoring St Bedes AFC in the Yorkshire region, providing talks at Salford University for a six-week engineering programme and attending the Trinity High careers day in Birmingham- future of engineering.

Partnership With DW Fitness

The three challenges we participated in were: Tatton Park 10k, Yorkshire Three Peaks and Tough Mudder. Due to the physical demand of the three months, three challenges, we partnered up with DW Fitness. Weekly training sessions were put on to improve the teams’ fitness and what a benefit it had.

The teams were really committed and there was such a great turnout every week, it was no surprise our challengers completed all three challenges. The challenges were completed by all who took part with high spirits, although there were some cuts and bruises along the way, it was all worth it for the money we had raised across the three challenges.

Words From The Alzheimer’s Society
